Stochastic Partial Differential Equations and Applications

The workshop will be divided in two parts, separated by the weekend. The first part will be devoted to a gentle introduction to the theories of Stochastic Differential Equations on Euclidean spaces, manifolds and infinite dimensional spaces; Stochastic Partial Differential Equations, use of Banach spaces, smooth structures on non-linear function spaces, Malliavin calculus, rough paths theory (both in time and space sense). In the second week, plenary speakers will give expository lectures (approximately 25 hours) on the most recent results concerning their expertise. Apart from these, there will be talks by invited speakers from India and UK and plenty of time for discussion sessions.

Important Notice: The tenth meeting of the Lectures on Probability and Stochastic Processes (LPS) will be held at the same venue during December 13 – 16, 2015. There will be one minicourse on Markov chains: Mixing time, cover time, and rate of escape by Yuval Peres, Microsoft Research, Redmond, U.S.A. The programme schedule of the Indo-UK workshop and LPS will be planned appropriately to avoid clash between the plenary lectures of both the events.
